When a new CEO inherits an old direction
Technology company. Commercial pivot. Follow-through mapping.
The Situation
A co-founder stepped up after two decades under a founding CEO. The strategy existed, but it was his now, and the executive team and board hadn't yet made that shift. What started as an alignment challenge revealed something deeper: the commercial model wasn't structured to deliver the strategy.
What we Did
We worked alongside the CEO to clarify strategic direction, then stress-tested it against commercial reality. Through facilitated ExCo and board sessions we built shared understanding around a pivot from product sales to consultative solutions. The strategy was mapped to customer journeys, performance management, and brand narrative.
Outcome
A leadership team rallied behind a clearly defined strategy. An organisation that understood not just the direction, but their role in it. And for the first time, real bottom-line profit and dividends, in the first year after the engagement.
